With a modest job

And 401K and

A written financial plan

Lived well within his means

His credit was great

Bills were never late

Habits started in his teens

 

There must have been some secret

Many people thought he knew

Diversify, is what he did

His investments grew and grew

Did not try to market time

That’s a loser’s game

Returns end up lame

Instead patience is sublime

Knew low taxes were a key

Keep expenses cheap

It is “what you keep”

I’m sure Buffet would agree

 

Don’t get too greedy

Was another of his rules

When the bears at bay

Don’t get swept away

Like so many other fools

 

Here was a man who had a plan

Some say a savings quirk

But he’s the one who is smiling now

He doesn’t have to work!

 

Frosty the Saver

Enjoying his Golden Years

Now he lives life grand

Plenty cash on hand

The envy of all his peers
